Our standards

Expected behavior

  • Use welcoming and inclusive language in all interactions
  • Accept constructive criticism gracefully and offer it thoughtfully
  • Focus on what is best for the community as a whole
  • Show empathy toward other community members
  • Respect different viewpoints, experience levels, and communication styles
  • Help newcomers get started and find their way

Unacceptable behavior

  • Harassment, insults, or derogatory comments
  • Trolling, intentionally provoking conflicts, or posting off-topic content
  • Public or private harassment of any kind
  • Publishing others’ private information without explicit consent
  • Advocating for or encouraging any form of discrimination
  • Other conduct that would be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Scope

This code of conduct applies to all OwnPay community spaces, including but not limited to:
  • GitHub repositories (issues, pull requests, discussions, reviews)
  • Discord server and other chat platforms
  • Official documentation and website
  • Community events, meetups, and conferences
  • Email communications with maintainers

Responsibilities

Moderators

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing this code of conduct. They will:
  • Respond promptly to any reported unacceptable behavior
  • Take appropriate corrective action, ranging from warnings to temporary or permanent bans
  • Communicate decisions to the reporter in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of the reporter’s identity when possible

Enforcement

Instances of unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting . All complaints will be reviewed and investigated fairly.
