The Devices page in the admin panel lets you monitor all Android companion apps paired with your OwnPay instance. Each device’s connectivity status, last heartbeat, and basic information are displayed in a single table.

Getting here

Navigate to Mobile > Devices in the left sidebar.

Device list

Every paired device appears in the table with the following columns:

Device health monitoring

OwnPay classifies each device into one of three statuses based on heartbeat frequency:
OnlineHeartbeat received within the last 10 minutes. The device is actively connected and forwarding SMS.
OfflineNo heartbeat for over 10 minutes. The device may have lost network connectivity, been turned off, or had its background service killed by the OS.
TimeoutHeartbeat is intermittent - the device connects and drops repeatedly. Check network stability and battery optimization settings.

Unpair a device

To remove a device, click the Unpair action button on its row. This revokes the device’s Mobile API key immediately. The companion app on that device will stop functioning until it is re-paired with a new key.
Unpairing is immediate and irreversible. Any SMS arriving on the unpaired device will no longer be forwarded to your OwnPay instance.

Multiple device support

OwnPay supports pairing multiple Android devices to a single instance. This is useful when you operate across multiple phone numbers or gateways. Each device operates independently and forwards its own incoming SMS.
If you use multiple devices, assign descriptive names (for example, “City Bank - Office SIM”) to easily identify which device handles which gateway’s verification SMS.

Generate a mobile API key

To pair a new device, click Generate Key at the top of the Devices page. Copy the key and enter it into the companion app during setup. Each key is single-use - once a device is paired with a key, that key cannot be reused.
