The Transactions page is your central hub for monitoring all payments processed through OwnPay. This is the canonical page for finding, inspecting, and acting on transactions from the admin UI.
View transactions
- Go to Payments → Transactions.
- The table loads all transactions for the currently selected brand.
- Each row shows the transaction ID, customer email, amount, gateway, status badge, and timestamp.
- Click View on any row to open the transaction detail panel.
Search and filter
Use the filter toolbar above the table to narrow results:
Transaction detail view
Clicking View opens a panel with three sections:
- Payment details - status, amount, gateway fee, net amount, gateway transaction ID, and lifecycle timestamps.
- Customer information - name, email, phone, and IP address.
- Ledger entries - the double-entry journal postings linked to this transaction.
Transaction statuses
OwnPay uses a defined set of statuses for every transaction. For the full lifecycle explanation, see Payment flow.
Manual status changes
For manual gateways (bank transfer, mobile money), transactions arrive in awaiting verification status. You can:
- Click Mark Completed after you verify the payment on your bank or wallet statement.
- Click Mark Failed if the payment proof is invalid.
Do not force-complete a transaction unless you have verified the payment on your bank or wallet statement. Fraudulent completions break your ledger balance.
Export transactions
Click the Export CSV button on the Transactions page to download a spreadsheet of all currently filtered transactions. The export includes transaction ID, customer email, amount, currency, gateway, status, and timestamp columns.
